Creators

Description

The 14UD Pelletron Accelerator at Mumbai has been providing stable accelerated beams for various experiments in nuclear and atomic physics. Several years of sustained developmental efforts in different aspects of technology towards the development of the booster has now culminated in the installation and testing of first prototype accelerating module with the pelletron beam. The performance of this module containing four quarter wave resonators along with brief descriptions about the development of the quarter wave resonators, liquid helium cryostats, cryogenic generation and distribution, r.f. electronics, superconducting buncher and other beam line components is presented. 4 refs., 9 figs
