Radiation-induced free radicals of epoxy resin
Description
Results of electron spin resonance studies of the free radicals produced during the γ radiation curing of epoxy resins are reported. These free methylene radicals are thought to originate from an amine curing agent present in the resin. The splitting of the sextuplet signal was 84G. Two speculations are proposed for the explanation for this large splitting; however, the results are insufficient to prove the validity of either speculation. These results do offer some clue to the three-dimensional structure of the resin
