The American national plan for energy R, D and D

Briefly reviews a paper recently put before the U.S. President by the Energy Research and Development Administration:' ERDA-48. A National Plan for Energy Research, Development and Demonstration: Creating Energy Choices for the Future: Volume 1: The Plan.' This considers problems connected with the various U.S. sources of energy, establishes the main national aims, and derives the research priorities. The plan is seen as the first step only, to be reconsidered periodically and modified as necessary. (D.J.B.)
