Description

The determination of radionuclide activity for radioactive sources and standardized solutions is reported as the main purpose of the IPEN laboratory of nuclear metrology. The measurement systems installed in the laboratory, the measurable activity intervals and some of the standardized radionuclides (emphasizing the ones used in nuclear medicine) are presented. Relata-se que a principal finalidade do laboratorio de metrologia do IPEN e a determinacao da atividade de radionuclideos para fornecimento de fontes e solucoes radioativas padronizadas em atividade. Apresentam-se os sistemas instalados, as faixas de atividade mensuraveis e alguns dos radionuclideos ja padronizados, destacando-se aqueles utilizados em medicina nuclear. (M.A.C.)
