The role of radioiodine in nuclear medicine, the methods of radioiodine labelling, the production of iodination reagents (by 123Xe and 125Xe decay) in organic systems, the radionuclide production of 125Xe (125I) by in-pile irradiation and of 123Xe (123I) by cyclotron irradiation, purity control, sample preparation, the analysis of 123I- and 125I-labelled compounds, the exposure method (aromatic and aliphatic systems), the 123,125Xe-KIO3 method and the halogen exchange in the melt and in a solvent are dealt with. Es werden die Bedeutung des Radiojods in der nuklearmedizinischen Anwendung, die Methoden der Markierung mit Radiojod, die Herstellung von Jodierungsreagenten (durch Zerfall von 123Xe und 125Xe) in organischen Systemen, die Radionuklidproduktion von 125Xe (125J) durch Reaktorbestrahlung, von 123Xe (123J) durch Zyklotronbestrahlung, die Reinheitskontrolle, die Probenvorbereitung, die Analyse der 123J- und 125J-markierten Verbindungen, die Exponiermethode (aromatische und aliphatische Systeme), die 123,125Xe-KJO3-Methode und der Halogenaustausch in Schmelze und Loesungsmittel behandelt.
