Development of a computerized shutdown heat sink manual
Description
The paper will discuss the development of a computerized Shutdown Heat Sink Manual that can be employed by Operations staff. The purpose of a Shutdown Heat Sink Manual is to aid station staff in developing appropriate shutdown heat sink strategies. The computerized model achieves this goal by providing the user with the capability to analyze, in a quality-assured fashion, the specific conditions for any particular shutdown condition, thus ensuring the chosen strategy meets both the reactor safety principles and the reactor shutdown heat sink requirements
