Total cross section measurements for electron scattering on N2 in the energy range 250 - 1400 eV

Description
A linear-transmission-type apparatus for measuring total cross sections of electron scattering by atoms and molecules has been set up. Measurements on N2 have been carried out for 250 - 1400 eV electrons with an accuracy of 3.5%. The results have been compared with available experimental and theoretical values of the total cross section
