Formation of oxyphosphates in MPO4-M2O3 (M=Al, Cr, Y) systems

Description
The melting diagrams of MPO4-M2O3 (M=Al, Cr, Y) systems are studied by high-temperature microscopy. Formation of the following types of oxyorthophosphates is established: MPO4xM2O3 (M3PO7 or (MO)3PO4), where M--Al, Cr; 2MPO4xM2O3 (M4P2O11), where M=Y, and MPO4x2M2O3, where M=Y, Cr. The effect of oxyorthophosphates on the process of phosphate hardening is discussed
