CP breaking Weinberg model and strong interactions at short distances

  • 1. AN SSSR, Novosibirsk. Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki

Description

Weinberg CP-breaking model is treated in detail. It is shown that strong interaction effects at short distances essentially influence the predictions of the model. In particular, the contribution given by Wolfenstein mechanism satisfying ΔT=1/2 relation and the contribution coming from the direct milliweak decay which breaked this relation are suppressed by strong interactions. In the framework of the model under consideration, the relation eta+-/eta00 approximately equal to 1 is valid for both, Wolfenstein and '' gluon'' mechanisms. The neutron dipole moment is estimated (Dsub(n) approximately equal to 0.8x10-26 excm) taking into account strong interactions at short distances
