The diagnostic value of serum HA, PC III, IV-C and LN for hepato-fibrosis

Description

To evaluate the diagnostic value of serum hyaluronic acid (HA), type III procollagen (PC III), type IV collagen (IV-C) and laminin (LN) for hepato-fibrosis, these 4 serum components were measured by RIA in 180 cases with chronic liver disease. The serum levels of HA, PCIII, IV-C and LN in chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis patients were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05) and increased with the development of hepatitis and fibrosis. These items could reflect the degree of hepatic fibrosis and might be the indicators of hepatic cirrhosis in early stage
