The presentation Norwegian Activities under the G8 Global Partnership and Norway's Bilateral Cooperation with Russia by Robert Kvile from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on the programmes in North-West Russia. This included the completed projects for dismantlement of two decommissioned nuclear submarines. Norway had concentrated efforts on infrastructure projects and radiation surveys at Andreeva Bay, a former Navy base, to ensure safe removal of SNF from the site. With the Norwegian assistance, 60 radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTGs) had been removed from North-West Russia.
