Tests of portable radiation monitors batteries - are they reliable?

Portable radiation protection monitors are used all over the world to evaluate the risk of contamination or exposure of workers in many sectors of industry and in medical applications. These safety equipment must be reliable and with know characteristics which must comply with international standards. They are provided with battery test device to guarantee that the instrument performance during its normal use is in accordance to the specifications issued in the accepted range of battery voltage and current conditions. results are presented in comparative table, and recommendations are drawn.
