The Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear accident - update on the situation in March 2014

Description

After a brief recall of the circumstances (earthquake and tsunami) and of the consequences of the accident in the Fukushima nuclear power station, this report reviews the actions undertaken by TEPCO to control the installations and to control the different releases. It presents the action defined by TEPCO to recover the control on the installations. These actions notably concern the removal of fuels which are present in the different pools, the removal of degraded fuels, and finally a complete dismantling of the installations (in 30 to 40 years). Delays for all these actions are of course to be updated
