Method to measure the νsub(μ)e elastic scattering by Cherenkov effect in water
Description
To measure the ratio of the muon neutrino-electron elastic cross-sections to test the Glashow-Weinberg-Salam model beyond Born order, an apparatus has been studied to measure the angle of the final electron of the reaction with a high resolution. A test of this optical system which detects the Cerenkov radiation of the particle which goes through the active medium of the detector (water), has shown that the angular resolution of this detector for electrons is about 6 mrad/√Esub(e) (GeV)

Pour mesurer le rapport des sections efficaces elastiques neutrino-mu sur electron afin de tester le modele de Glashow-Weinberg-Salam au dela de l'ordre de Born, nous avons etudie un appareillage capable de mesurer l'angle de l'electron final de la reaction avec une haute resolution. Un test de ce systeme optique qui detecte la lumiere Cerenkov de la particule qui traverse le milieu actif du detecteur (eau), nous a montre que la resolution angulaire de ce detecteur pour des electrons est de l'ordre de 6 mrad/√Esub(e) (GeV)Files
