Description
Requirements to superalloys have been formulated, and the basic principles of their design are outlined. Using nickel-base alloys as an example, analysis has been made of the effect on their properties of the phase composition and electron structure, the nature of strengthening phases, the lattice parameter correlation between these phases and the matrix, the distribution, quantity and size of the strengthening phase particles, structure orientation. Basic concepts determining long-time strength and ductility of superalloys are given
