Concluding ICRM session

At the conclusion of the seminar the ICRM held a plenary session with the aim of summarizing the results of the seminar and identifying important areas for new work in the field of radioactivity measurements. The session focused on topics relating to the improvement of measurement reliability. The following is a report based upon the findings of four ad hoc groups and supported by the conference attendees as a whole. The overall needs can be broken down into three categories: quality control, a need for receiving and developing information, and the development of new instrumentation. (orig.)
