Extinct radioactive nucleus 202Pb: possible origin of isotopic anomalies of Hg in meteorites

Description
The abundance of extinct radioactive nucleus 202Pb trapped in chondrites is calculated from the anomalous isotopic ratio 202Hg/196Hg, assuming the isotopic anomalies are only due to the decay of 202Pb. The magnitude of nonuniformity of the distribution of 202Pb inferred from the excess isotopic abundance of 202Hg is the same order of magnitude suggested by anomalous isotopic abundances of the other chemical elements found in meteoritic materials.
