Description

A continuous-wave (CW) and passively Q-switched Nd:GGG laser operating at 1110.2 nm is achieved in a rather compact 40 mm plano-plano cavity. By suitably suppressing the lines at 1062, 937, 1105 and 1331 nm by the chosen cavity having a refined coating design, a single-wavelength line at 1110.2 nm is generated. For CW operation, the output power is 1815 mW at the 808 nm pump power of 8.16 W with an optical–optical conversion efficiency of 22.2%. In the pulse mode, the minimum pulse width and the maximum peak power are 20.2 ns and 2.9 kW, respectively. (paper)
