Description
This article analyses the electromagnetic impact on the surroundings of high voltage transmission and transformation power facilities, summarizes international and domestic limit criteria of power frequency electric field. It detailedly analyses the rationality of the power frequency electric field limit in China's residential areas from 3 aspects, including preventing environmental impact from electromagnetic field, comparing with the limits of authoritative international organizations and some developed countries, promoting economic development. Experience has proved that it is reasonable and feasible to adopt 4 kV·m-1 as power frequency electric field limit forour residential area. (authors)
