Crystallization from the liquid phase

  • 1. Dept. of Pure and Applied Chemistry, Univ. of Strathclyde, Glasgow G1 1XL (United Kingdom)

Description

In this paper an overview is given of recent experiments utilizing the synchrotron radiation source at Daresbury Laboratory, UK. The techniques and experiments described all involve the use of X-ray diffraction for the study of the crystallization of solids in-situ. Such experiments provide for the first time, a means of characterizing the structural aspects of crystallization phenomena at the atomic level
