Clinical experience of the liposarcoma found in atomic bomb victims

  • 1. Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Hospital (Japan)

Description

This report deals with the course of the therapy, the metastatic site, changes in the degree of histological malignancy, and autopsied findings in one atomic bomb survivor with liposarcoma. He had liposarcoma in the left thigh at the age of 37, and died of systemic metastases one year later in spite of various therapies during hospitalization. There seems to be only one case of liposarcoma previously reported by Monzen out of atomic bomb surviors. This is the first case that especially the course and the effect of the therapy were reported. (Namekawa, K.)
