Study of reaction kinetics of H atoms with actinoid ions in acidic aqueous solutions using pulsed radiolysis method
Description
By the method of pulsed radiolysis (irradiation by 5 MeV electrons) rate constants (k) of H atom reaction with Pu4+, Pu6+, Pu3+, Np4+, Np3+, U6+, U4+ ions in HClO4 and H2SO4 solutions by competing reaction of H atom with benzoic acid, methylene blue or IrCl62-, have been evaluated. It is ascertained that in the series U6+, Np6+, Pu6+ a dependence between k and E6+/5+0 is observed. In HClO4 rate constants are an order lower than in H2SO4
