Applicability of Born criteria to charge transfer collisions
Description
Born transition matrix elements for rearrangement collisions are discussed. Experimental and theoretical evidence is provided which shows the threshold of validity of the Born criteria in charge transfer reactions being considerably lower than in inelastic and ionization reactions. An explanation for the disparity in the threshold of applicability of the Born criteria is provided.
