Description
Current developments and events in the field of spent fuel direct disposal include the order by the Minister Presidents of the German Federal States to the Undersecretaries of State Working Group on Nuclear Spent Fuel Management to continue their activities. Items of special importance in this connection are the question of direct disposal vs. reprocessing, and the legal and factual dispute between the Federal Government and the State of Lower Saxony about the Gorleben exploratory mine. Aktuelle Entwicklungen und Ereignisse zum Thema Direkte Endlagerung abgebrannter Brennelemente sind u.a. der Auftrag der Ministerpraesidenten der Bundeslaender an den Staatssekretaers-Arbeitskreis zur nuklearen Entsorgung zur Fortsetzung seiner Arbeit, bei der die Frage der Direkten Endlagerung oder Wiederaufarbeitung besondere Bedeutung haben wird sowie der rechtliche und tatsaechliche Streit um das Erkundungsbergwerk Gorleben zwischen dem Bund und dem Land Niedersachsen.
