Binding energy of surface atoms in the b=a/2 (111) dislocation core in tungsten

  • 1. Gosudarstvennyj Komitet po Ispol'zovaniyu Atomnoj Ehnergii SSSR, Moscow (USSR). Inst. Teoreticheskoj i Ehksperimental'noj Fiziki

Description

An estimation technique has been considered for relative binding energies of surface atoms in a dislocation-core field in metallic samples using autoion microscopic analysis of the kinetics of the impulse evaporation by the atomic field as well as for the computation and simulation of this process and the contrast of the corresponding microscopic images. Some results of the technique realization are presented for the case of a line b=(a/2)<111> dislocation emerging on a tungsten surface in the centre of the crystallographic pole (011)
