PWR composite materials use: A particular case of safety-related service water pipes
Description
The major decision taken by EDF to use composites on safety-related circuits (for example: Essential Service Water System) at the CIVAUX nuclear power plant, shows the interest that EDF takes in the development of these new materials (in this instance, for corrosion resistance). This paper shows the present and future uses of composite materials in French nuclear and fossil-fuel power plants
