Infrared absorption spectra of solid solutions in the system Nd2O3-P2O5-CaO-H2O

  • 1. Politechnika Wroclawska (Poland)

Description

Solid solutions in the system Nd2O3-P2O5-CaO-H2O have been investigated with the use of infrared absorption technique. The bands due to HPO42-/870 cm-1 and 1250 cm-1/ appear in the infrared absorption spectra of the solid solutions obtained by crystallization /at 1000C/ from phosphoric acid containing Ca2+ ions. After ignition at 10000C the above solid solutions, changes in the spectra were observed such as disappearance of the HPO42- bands and appearance of the band at about 730 cm-1 ascribed to γsub(s) P-O-P vibration due to P2O74-.
