Description
This paper describes the scope and status of investigations to demonstrate integral cesium reservoirs for TFE's. The feasibility of supplying the required cesium vapor pressure from a reservoir which operates at a temperature between those of the emitter and the collector has been demonstrated in this study. If the control characteristics and material compatibility issues can be resolved, these reservoirs could lead to great benefits in simplicity, performance, and manufacturing costs of TFE's
