Description
The angular momentum dissipation in DIC as well as related fragment orientation phenomena are investigated treating the relative motion of the ions dynamically. A two dimensional classical model with a diagonal friction tensor is used to set up Newton type equations of motion for the mean values of the macroscopic variables. The changes caused by the inclusion of fluctuations in the dissipated angular momentum are also taken into account. The predictions of the model are shown to be in fair agreement with the experimental results. (P.L.)
