Description

A research and development project on an integrated nuclear-data utilization system started in 2002 for a five-year plan for innovative nuclear-energy systems such as accelerator-driven systems in cooperation with universities, research organizations and private companies in Japan. The integrated nuclear-data utilization system will be constructed as a modular code system, which consists of two subsystems. One is the nuclear-data search and plotting subsystem, the other is the nuclear-data processing and utilization subsystem. The system will be operated with a graphical user interface in order to easily utilize the system through internet for not only nuclear design engineers but also nuclear-data evaluators. This paper presents an overview of the integrated nuclear-data utilization system, describes the development of a prototype system to examine the operability of the user interface and discuss specifications of the two subsystems.
