Chronopotentiometric determination of diffusion coefficients of some ions against a background of the 2AlCl3-NaCl melt

Description
Diffusion coefficients of Ag+,Pb2+, Sn2+, Cd2+, Zr2+, Bi3+, Eu3+ ions against a background of the 2AlCl3-NaCl melt at the temperature of 175-+0.5 deg are measured using the method of potential-time curve plotting. The deposition potentials of these metals on glass-carbon are presented in the table. Keeping to the conditions of diffusion kinetics permitted to calculate diffusion coefficients of the investigated ions according to the Sand formula. The ion diffusion coefficients have insignificant differences and value usual for molten salts
