Reply to Comment on 'Effect of surface energy on tensile deformation of nanotubes'

Description

In this reply, the correct formula for the tension of an elastic nanotube was used to obtain the dependence of stress enhancement on surface energy. The stress enhancement for the nanotube is inversely proportional to the thickness of the nanotube. The surface energy significantly increases the rigidity of nanotubes with small tube thickness.
