p-p (anti p-p) interactions at high energies and a scaling law for the partial cross-sections in anti p-p scattering
Description
The properties of elastic and inelastic cross section due to the l-th partial waves is studied, in order to examine the dependence of the p-p (anti p-p) interaction at high energy on the impact parameter, b. It is emphasized that: i) the predicted values of partial cross sections at 20 GeV/c show that, for b>=4(GeV/c)-1, anti p-p interaction is much stronger than p-p interaction as is supposed from duality. ii) For p-p scattering the form of the sigmasup(el) distribution shifts to a large-b region as the incident energy increases
