Description
KEK is going to study Bell experiment, which investigates the fundamental properties of elementary particles generated by matter and antimatter at big-bang. In order to generate the large amount of B-B meson pair for Bell experiment, KEK started to built KEKB accelerator (B meson factory or B-factory) in 1994 and to put into practice the experiment in 1999. This paper explains KEKB accelerator control system, EPICS toolkit as the base tool and beam instrumentation and control system. An EPICS is software toolkit for construction of network distributed control system developed by LANL and ANL in the United States. Its basic construction, channel access protocol (CA) and CA client tool are described. On KEKB beam instruments, beam current monitor, beam position monitor, beam loss monitor, beam profile and beam bunch monitor are introduced. (S.Y.)
