Rehabilitation of territories contaminated by radioactive wastes

Stages of development and rehabilitation of contaminated territories at the uranium-mining enterprises are considered. Results of investigating the quality of rehabilitation works accomplished in the sixtieth at the tails storage of the former 'Western combine' (Maily-Saj) and industrial association Vostokredmet' are described. Efficiency of application of rehabilitated territories at the uranium-mining enterprises is analyzed. Basic trends in land reclamation of contaminated territories at the enterprises, related to radioactive ores mining, are formulated. The fundamentals of engineering radioecology and basic problems facing it are presented
