Description
The angular anisotropy of fragments produced in the resonance-neutron-induced fission of aligned 235U nuclei is measured as a function of neutron energy up to 42 eV. For the resonances studied here, the results are in accord with data presented by Pattenden and Postma [Nucl. Phys. A, 1971, vol. 190, p. 225]. At the same time, calculations performed on the basis of R-matrix theory implemented in the multilevel two-channel approximation do not reproduce some features of the angular anisotropy of fission fragments as a function of energy. Arguments are adduced in favor of taking into account interference between resonances with different spins
