Detection of atomic iodine in the ground and excited states by the method of multi-photon ionization with two-photon resonance
Description
Using the method of two-photon excitation with subsequent one-photon ionization atomic iodine in basic 5p (2P3/2) and excited 5p (2P1/2) states, formed as a result of IR or UN dissociation of (CF3)3CI molecules, was detected. The lowest concentration of iodine atoms in the basic state recorded in the experiment constituted 3x1010 cm-3, in the excited one - 6x1010 cm-3. The method of iodine atom detection suggested is compared with other methods of diagnostics
