Study of lanthanum oxyiodide interaction with sodium, potassium, rubidium iodides

Description
Methods of differential thermal, X-ray phase and crystallooptical analyses were applied to study for the first time LaOI-MI systems, where M-Na, K, Rb. The complexes form compounds of 2MIxLaOI (M=Na, K, Rb) and 2RbIx3LaOI composition with each other. The compound 2KIxLaOI is melted incongruently at 450 deg C and has polymorphous transformation at 260 deg C. The rest compounds exist in the solid phase and they are decomposed in the 300-340 deg C range. The compounds 2NaIxLaOI and 2RbIx3LaOI are polymorphous at 260 and 240 deg C respectively. Ranges of limited solid solutions based on the initial components exist in all the systems
