The development of high-Tc ceramic superconductors: An introduction
Description
The development of new superconducting oxide ceramics is chronicled in this introductory contribution. Following an outline of the crystal structure, phase equilibria and properties of the lanthanum strontium cuprate and the yttrium barium cuprate superconductors, a number of the challenges facing the ceramics community are described
