The biological effects of radiations on man are reviewed as well as the way the ICRP has developed the fundamentals and recommendations that are the basis of national regulations. The French regulations and their application by the Central Service of Protection against Ionizing Radiation (SCPRI) are stated

Pour comprendre ce qu'est la radioprotection on rappelle les effets biologiques des irradiations auxquelles l'homme est expose et la facon dont la CIPR a elabore les principes et les recommandations sur lesquels sont fondees les reglementations nationales. Enfin on expose l'essentiel de la reglementation francaise et son application par le Service central de Protection contre les Rayonnements Ionisants
