Description

Electricity demand in India has been increasing rapidly. Presently India is having 1,52,148 MWe installed capacity which amounts to only 600 KWh per capita for the year. The per capita figure is expected to almost triple by 2030, with 6.3% annual growth. It is estimated that our requirement will be 4,00,000 MWe by then. Tarapur reactors being first nuclear plant in Asia played major role in establishing foundation of application of nuclear energy in India
