A new data acquisition system for TRISTAN experiments using TKO and FASTBUS
- 1. Dept. of Physics, Kyoto Univ. (Japan)
Description
The authors have developed a new data acquisition system using a TKO BOX as a front-end system and FASTBUS as an on-line data transfer bus for TRISTAN experiments. TKO systems features reliable front-end electronics at low cost. Good ground isolation between the front-end system and FASTBUS was the key for noise reduction in their large detector system. This system is employed for the VENUS detector at TRISTAN. Maximum data transfer rate between TKO and FASTBUS is 700K words per second and the error rate is less than once per 100 million words
