Phase diagram and properties of Nd-As alloys
Description
The phase diagram of Nd-As system has been constructed, and the electrophysical properties of the alloys belonging to this system have been studied. It has been established that the system includes three arsenides: Nd3As, NdAs and NdAs2. When heated, the latter dissociates into NdAs and gaseous arsenic. The melting point of NdAs is 2.250+-15 deg C. The solubility of arsenic in neodymium is less than 1%. In all alloys containing up to 50% of arsenic, n-conduction is prevalent
