Solvent extraction of yttrium(III), lanthanum(III) and some lanthanides(III) by 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-5-pyrazolone from water-methanol solutions
Description
The solvent extraction of yttrium(III), lanthanum(III) and certain lanthanides(III) (Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Tm) by 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoyl-5-pyrazolone in carbon tetrachloride from water-methanol phase was investigated. It was confirmed that the presence of methanol in aqueous phase has a synergistic effect pH0.5x and the conditional extraction constants from water-50% (V/V) methanol phase were determined. The separation factors of Y(III), La(III), Pr(III), Nd(III), Sm(III), Eu(III) for the individual rare earth elements were calculated. (author). 14 refs, 3 figs, 2 tabs
