Description
The present paper concerns radiochemical measurements of photonuclear reactions of 13 targets ranging from 12C to 209Bi at bremsstrahlung end point energies of 30 to 1000 MeV, currently performed in our group. Special emphasis is placed on mass and energy dependences of the cross sections, in units of equivalent quantum and/or of photon of monochromatic energy, of photopion reactions of types of (γ,π+) and (γ,π-xn), 0 ≤ x ≤ 9, in (3,3)-resonance region. Here, a new method for correction of interfering secondary reactions was invented and applied. The systematic features of photopion cross sections, together with those of photospallation, fragmentation and fission (for 197Au and 209Bi), are presented and discussed in lights of an empirical expression and of theoretical predictions based on the intranuclear-cascade and evaporation picture by Gabriel and Alsmiller and others
