Magnetic properties and structure of SmFe11-xCoxTi compounds

Description
The crystal structure, phase composition and magnetic properties of SmFe11-xCoxTi (x=0, 1, 2, 3, 5) compounds are studied. The temperature dependence of magnetization is investigated, the Curie temperature Tc and saturation magnetization of monocrystals separated from the SmFe11-xCoxTi alloys ingots are determined. The values for the constants of unaixial magnetic anisotropy are found by the method of rotating moments. It is revealed that the SmFe11-xCoxTi compounds have high values of magnetic energy, saturation magnetization and magnetic anisotropy. It is shown that the Curie temperature grows quickly, when iron is substituted by cobalt, reaching the value Tc=960 K for the composition SmFe6Co5Ti, which provides higher value of thermal stability for these alloys
