Radioisotope study of Eustachian tube

Description
Radioisotope studies of Eustachian tube are suggested in the preoperative phase of tympanoplasty, in order to assess tubal drainage and secretion. The use of gamma camera fitted to a computer allowed the AA, to calculate some semi-quantitative parameters for an exact assessment of the radioactivity transit from the tympanic cass up to the pharyngeal cavity, throughout the Eustachian tube. Zur Bewertung von Abfluss und Sekretion der Tuba Eustachii werden in der praeoperativen Phase einer Trommelfellplastik Radionukliduntersuchungen empfohlen. Die Autoren konnten mit dem Einsatz einer computer-assistierten Gammakamera semiquantitative Parameter fuer die exakte Beurteilung des Radioaktivitaets-Transports von der Paukenhoehle ueber die Ohrtrompete (T. Eustachii) bis hin zum Rachenraum erarbeiten. (orig.)Additional details
