Hydrogen Balmer line profiles in the high magnetic field TRIAM-1M tokamak plasma

Description

The relative intensity of the Zeeman π light component in the Hydrogen Balmer π line profile was observed remarkably weak in several discharge shots on TRIAM-1M tokamak plasma at Kyushu University. The unusual intensity ratio between the π and π polarization components may be caused by the population imbalance among the magnetic sublevels of the 3d state. (author)
