Indices of the system of natural immunity in patients with cancer of the rectum during radiation treatment

Description

Indices of the system of natural immunity (number of large granulocontaining lymphocytes, functional activity of natural killer cells in the cytotoxic test, its changes in vitro under the effect of interferon and indomethacin) were studied in 17 patients with cancer of the rectum. These values were found to be reduced as compared with healthy subjects. Radiation treatment resulted in a further reduction of natural immunity values
