Our experience with the treatment of arteriovenous malformations using the Gamma Knife

Description
From among a total of 205 patients who underwent radiosurgery, 81 suffered from vascular malformations, out of which 50 were arteriovenous malformations. In all of the patients, stereotactic scintigraphy was performed using the Leksell Gamma Knife. The doses applied lay within the region of 10 to 25 Gy. No acute radiological reaction was observed, an early reaction was seen in 1 patient. No delayed effects have been observed so far. (J.B.). 4 tabs., 4 figs., 15 refs
